Priya + Jaimin | Multiple Day Cultural Wedding Film Trailer by Orange Wedding Films

We captured a beautiful Indian wedding in the beginning of September.
Jaimin had some of his celebration in California, then flew to Chicago having rest of wedding ceremony and reception with Priya.
Priya looked absolutely beautiful in every dress she is in.
Jaimin's friends put together the funniest presentation "Jaimin is not impressed" during the reception, which I am sure impressed everyone during the wedding.
From emotional moments to gorgeous detail at each event, we are truly blessed to be part of all of them.
Congratulations, Jaimin and Priya!
Enjoy the trailer.

PS. As always, it was a lot of fun working with Leo from Fragola Productions.

Karen + Chris | 8.18.2012 | Unplugged Wedding | Coming Soon by Orange

Shooting at the New Leaf had been one of my wedding venue checklists. I finally put check mark on it, and couldn't be happier. Add beautiful bride and handsome groom. Add fun bridal party. One more thing... Wait for it... UNPLUGGED WEDDING!!!
Yes, another item from wish list has been checked off. We need to see more of these.
When I met them for the first time to go over the details before the wedding, I felt like I'd known them for more than ten years. They are such a kind, generous, and caring couple, and we could not have asked anything more as filmmakers.
On top of all those gifts we had, add fun, energetic, talented photographer. Jess and our crew had so much fun working together. Check out her awesome work at her website here.
I am very proud of every single trailers that we produce for our couples, and one thing I always try is to make audience feel the day, a very unique and special day of two people, two families coming together, through our lens. This one is definitely unique, and I had so much fun putting it together.
Hope you all enjoy it, and once again, congratulations to Karen and Chris.

Shedd Aquarium with my son, Sean.

I usually don't post my personal stuff on our blog, but this one, I just had to share with you all.
My son, Sean is now 6 years old, attending 1st grade. Time sure flies fast...
He has been interested in one particular field all the time. Two years ago, it was plantes, especially solar system. Last year was animals in the North/South Pole (his favorite, Beluga Whales, and Killer Whales among others). This year, he picked up extreme interest in jelly fish. He also noticed signs on the street and buses while driving downtown, and asked me where those jelly fish was. Shedd Aquarium was having special exhibition!!! I promised him that we'd go, but with moving our house, editing, and shooting, it was very hard to make time for the trip. On 3rd day of heavy lifting and moving around at our new house, I just decided to get out, and recharge. And what else could be better than taking my son to Jelly exhibition?!?!
As the description on the video said, I didn't really expect anything to capture that day. Maybe some still photos of Sean, and Jelly fish. Then as soon as I saw unique movements that jelly fish was making, I suggested Sean that video maybe better to capture to jelly fish instead of still photo. He strongly agreed, and started commending take video of this jelly fish, that jelly fish, and so on.
I truly had a blast spending all day with him. It's been too long since I did that.
It's great to take a break once in a while, I guess.

*NOTE from the video "I took Sean to Shedd Aquarium today.
He has been into Jelly fish lately, reading tons of books, and studying each kind.
Beluga Whale has been one of his favorites for a long time, but in addition to that, Jelly fish has been his interest lately.
With moving, and editing (and shooting), it was almost impossible to make a trip, but since I was afraid the special exhibition was gonna be over, I decided to keep the promise with my son, and took him there.
When I took my 7D and Zeiss 50mm, I thought I was gonna snap some still images of him, and jelly fish.
But more I thought about it, the movement of jelly fish felt more appropriate to capture its Motion by video than still images.
So I ended up capturing about 30 mins footage, then cut down to 4-5 minutest highlight/SDE, LOL!
I didn't have any rig. Just the strap, and camera. That was it.
It was great feeling to see my son being amazed by each jelly fish, and looks like he had fun time.
It's awesome to be a father to such a wonderful child.

Jeannie + Mike | 7.14.2012 | Wedding Film Trailer by Orange Wedding Films

Orange Wedding Films crew is truly blessed to have couples like Mike and Jeannie.
We had a great time working with one and only Kenny Kim.
It was non-stop day of laughter and smiles. All of their friends and families sure knows how to have a good time!
Jeannie was bridesmaid at one of very first wedding we shot as "Orange", and it meant a lot to capture this wedding for me.
Congratulations to Jeannie and Mike! Enjoy the trailer.

Shruti + Gaurang | Multiple Day Cultural Wedding Film Trailer

Starting on July 5th, Gaurang and Shruti celebrated their union.
It was hot, hot, hot days outside with 105F degree, but their support and love never stopped us from capturing wonderful images each day.
Once again, we worked with talented Leo from Fragola Productions, along with DJ Krush!
We got to see so many unique touches on details everyday (which you can catch on our trailer).
They've been waiting for this trailer so long time, and I am so happy to finally share this with the couple, and their friends and families.
Congratulations, Shruti and Gaurang!

Neema + Rovin | Multiple Day Cultural Wedding Celebration | Same/Next Day Edit Film

As I posted on my Facebook status, multiple day wedding is very challenging. Mix it with Same Day Edit (which is already challenging as well), it becomes tremendous pressure, and effort to share with 650 guests at the hall what the couple experienced last 3 days (including the wedding day itself).
Starting with 7.18,Mehndi day, we were experiencing great traditional celebration until the last second of reception on 7.21.
It was truly awesome experience sharing what we captured all the families and friends.
We got to collaborate with Fragola Productions again which is always fun and pleasure.
AV crew, Trifon, from Meadows Club was extremely helpful giving us audio feed along with huge help on SDE presentation.
Big props to our crew, Charlie, and Mrs.Orange for making this happen again. Two weekends in a row.
Biggest props from me, personally, goes out to Neema and Rovin. They have been so supportive, and kind to us. Those kind of support and love really gives us energy to keep on pushing ourselves against long hours of work.
So thank you once again, Neema and Rovin. Congratulations, and enjoy the SDE!

Eunice + Sam | 6.2.2012 | Wedding Film Trailer by Orange Wedding Films

On June 2nd, I got to meet the couple that's been Skyping with me all along.
Eunice and Sam is friends with some of our past couples, and right off the bet, this would be a fun wedding to be part of.
Sure enough, we worked with great professionals, like Wayne and Angela from Wayne and Angela Photography, and Karolina from Weddings by Karolina.

Eunice and Sam brought us to the Arlington Heights Race Track which I've never been before. The weather was gorgeous, and got lots of fun shots with them, and their bridal party!

Thanks again very much for having us, Eunice + Sam! Come visit us when you are in town!

Zaneta + Mark | 7.13.2012 | Same Day Edit by Orange Wedding Films

Our Friday the 13th was scary amazing. Mark and Zaneta tied the knot, and celebrated their marriage at W hotel in Lake Shore. And the best part was that we got to share the Same Day Edit with everyone during the reception. Their 8 month old son Jonathan almost stole the show with his ridiculously cuteness, and my camera was running non-stop capturing his laugh and smile.
Same Day Edit is always a huge challenge for us, but with combination of our talented crew (Mrs.Orange, Charlie and Jimmy), fun bridal party, and awesome couple, we were able to share this emotional + fun + energetic + exciting film with all the families and friends.
It was great working with Shane from Shane Welch Photography. Make sure to check his Facebook Page for some great photos from the wedding here.
Charity Ramos (worked together for Tom & Ania's Wedding) helped us throughout the day for smooth operation. Big thanks to her, too!
Here are other professionals that made the day so much more memorable.

Jennifer Silvestri and team ~ The W Hotel - Lakeshore

Oak Mill Bakery ~ North Ave.

Larry & Eddie ~ L Productions (DJ)

Mike Gajewski ~ Essence Photography (Trolley, photo booth and up lighting)

Floral and Reception D├ęcor ~ A La Moda Events

Congratulations, you two and Jonathan. You have such a beautiful family, and we are blessed to be able to capture the moments.
Also, on the side note, Mark and Zaneta has been one of my inspiration for my returning swimming routine for get back in shape, so another big kudos to them!

Gretchen + Matt | 6.30.2012| Same Day Edit by Orange Wedding Films

Great Chemical Mix for Wedding for Same Day Edit (in my book): really nice venue director (and the crew), DJ who wouldn't do a thing without photographer/cinematographer, fun bridal party, great families and friends, additional sound system on our own for SDE, solid film/editing crew, and of course, the amazing couple. Not gonna lie, yesterday, we had'em all.
Everything took place at my backyard, Arlington Heights Metropolis Ballroom.
While Gretchen was getting ready at brial suite, laughters never stopped along with some tears here and there. Thanks to Matt for the beautiful card AND the letter!
Those moments made Mrs.Orange teared up a couple of times while she was working on SDE, too! (yeh, yeh, me, too, LOL!)
I knew Matt was a fun, warm, and kind person from the moment that I met him at our studio. They both have been extremely supportive to us from the day 1, and I am so thankful to have couples like them.
There were some obstacles for SDE process, but everyone dealt with it, and overcame to present one kick ass SDE to the couple, and their families and friends.
MAd props to Mike (conducted the ceremony) who gave us one strong rule during the ceremony for photographers/cinematographers: THERE IS NO RULE! How awesome was that.
It was truly great working with Michael and his crew from Metropolis Ballroom. I really wish all the venue directors out there would work like him. Very kind, so much attention to every details (rose petal around the bride's shoes with G, yep, done by him), and know how to have fun as well. I think I convinced him to offer some workshop "how to be an awesome venue director 101", LOL!
It was great working with Curt, and his assistant again. Everyone at the dance floor was having so much.
We also had audio aid from Jeff from "Just Press and Play". Sound for SDE was incredible because of his help. s
Monika and Rob was the photographers (from Better Looking Studio), and it was really great working with them.
And lastly, our crew, Charlie Garcia, and Mrs.Orange, who helped every inch of making this SDE so memorable, and FUN at the same time. Couldn't have done without you guys.
Matt and Gretchen, congratulations, and thank you, thank you, thank you from bottom of my heart. Enjoy your honeymoon, and married life!!!

Heidi + Eric | 5.26.2012 | Wedding Film Trailer by Orange Wedding Films

We continued on with non-stop fun wedding with Heidi and Eric's on May 26th at Independence Grove.
Lots of Heidi's details were colored beautiful blue tone and with pink accent on her bouquet. There were so many fun details that they prepared throughout the day.
It was our 1st time working with Ela and Jason from Studio Finch, and they were super easy and fun to work with. Check out their website for some great images they capture.
BEautiful flower arrangement was done by Kio Kreations, and you might have seen their amazing work quite often from our trailers!!
Independence Grove was a beautiful location for reception, too, with beautiful lake on the other side of golf course.
Heidi and Eric took a great care of our crew from the start to end, and we couldn't appreciate more. Thanks again so much for such a great day.

Jen + Jose | 5.19.2012 | Wedding Film Trailer by Orange Wedding Films

Fun thing about being in wedding industry is that every wedding is so different, and unique on their way. I've run into some fun wedding, but it will be hard to top this one.
Jen and Jose has many photos with funny face, and pose. Their creativity is above average people (Jose being an artist himself, it was given), and their wedding showed just that. They were open for all the fun, and creative shots, and allowed us, and Christopher Kim (from Chris Kim Photography) to do whatever it takes to get awesome shots!
Their friend and cousin, Esther and Anne helped us throughout the day to run everything smoothly. We shot Esther's wedding back in 2009!
Did I mention they both have brothers who are super talented (and funny? yep, the one with wig toward the end of the trailer!) just like them?
I couldn't get enough from this wedding, and simply can't wait to share more with them later this year.
Congratulations, guys!! and biggest thanks to you both!

Lauren + Matt | 5.12.2012 | Wedding Film Trailer

We are very excited to share the 1st wedding film trailer of 2012 wedding season. Lauren and Matt had so many fun, and unique details from start to end. They said "I Do" at Kenilworth Union Church, and celebrated their wedding at River East Art Center.
It was great working with Tasha from Redwall Photography again! The hair was done by talented Livia Caporale! Always pleasure seeing her beautiful work!
The whole day went smooth with help of Erin from Elevage Events, and the guest were entertained throughout the night by Laura from Toast and Jam!
All the families and friends of Lauren and Matt treated all our crew so well, and we are so blessed to be part of wonderful wedding!
Congratulations, you two!

RD & Sonia | Multiple Day Cultural Wedding Celebration | Same/Next Day Edit

"40 hours of shooting done, 5 days of celebration captured, 4 cinematographers throughout, 1 amazing couple married... comes down to 8 minute film to be presented during reception day..."

That's just statistics.. The whole experience itself could not be described in words.
Sonia and Rd has such a wonderful families and friends, and I was fortunate to meet with many of them.
This wedding was our wedding #1 of 2012 season. It meant a lot to us to have such a great start.
We also get to work with awesome photographers. Steve, Mark, and rest of crew from e2 Photography ( Everyone was so helpful, kind, generous, supportive, and the lists of adjective goes on and on... Really hope we can collaborate with them again in the future.
Beautiful details were done by Ravi from Ravi's Wedding Decorations, and DJ was Shiv from Dhamaka DJ who helped out a lot.
Enjoy this emotional, and beautiful film that we produced, and shared with guests during the reception.
Huge props to Charlie, Jimmy, and Mrs.Orange for putting so much effort to make this happen.

IN[FOCUS] 2012 - Charleston, SC

So, this gathering of event filmmakers around world started back in 2010. I have attended every single year, and this year, I decided to make a short video about the influence that I have gotten from the beginning. When I came back, I had an idea of all the photos that I took with my friends, and turning them to slideshow along with my insight. Then my genius wife, Mrs. Orange, came up with concept of the video. So here it is. It's only 3 minutes, so it's like 2 wedding film trailers, LOL!
Hope you can get some idea of why I am such a fan of this group.

Tracy + Patrick | 12.10.2011 | Wedding Film Trailer by Orange Wedding Films

31 weddings later, we finally captured our last wedding of 2011, and it was a amazing finish.
I have been more than happy and thrilled to be part of Tracy and Patrick's wedding since the day I met them. Tracy has been sending us tremendous support and love day in and day out. It really means world to us to have couples like them (and probably that's why I got emotional when I finished their trailer last night).
They said "I do" at St. Margaret Mary in Naperville, and celebrated with all the guests, dancing the night away at Arrowhead Gold Clup in Wheaton.
It was an absoulte pleasure working with Tasha from Redwall Photography, and you can check her work here.
Our DJ was Matt from Your Night Production, and he made sure to keep everyone on the dance floor all night!

On a personal note, it's been one hell of year. I feel very blessed and lucky to be part of every single wedding this year, and I have to send huge thanks to our crew, Charlie, Eli, Nicole, Jimmy, and my lovely wife, Mrs.Orange.
And of course, I thank every single bride and groom who made our year simply amazing. We were just happy that we were there to celebrate one of the biggest day of your life.
Congratulations, you guys.
Sending you all nothing but love.

Best wishes,
